Luminous
December 2, 2009
Once in a while you find your inner self nourished by the clarity and depth of an image or words that connect you to a memory of what is luminous, giving and structurally sound. You are subtly connected to a river of goodness that refreshes the minds eye habitually burdened by a secret grief of confused and mistaken loyalties.
Of the essence

Ethics is not a supplement to human life, it is it’s essence.
Without ethics man is not man but an animal.
Getting yourself out of harms way

Blissfully effective: Yes
Painfully efficient: No
Get your gain without pain.
For this thought must work harder than muscle.
To work out smart you favor insight over ache, attention over effort.
You study limit, you don’t break it.
If you race against yourself, you will eventually break. If your last best is the limit to be broken, breaking your very best will break you.

On Monday, when the sun is hot
I wonder to myself a lot:
“Now is it true, or is it not,
“That what is which and which is what?”

The myth of Why
September 18, 2009

The opportunity to ‘discover-decide’ on why your soul is bleeding allows a person to make sense of the situation.
In this ‘discovering-deciding’, do we lead, as in creating a meaning, or do we follow as in discovering a meaning? Both are a posteriori; events have already occurred. Now it is a matter of who gets to say why things have happened; I or destiny?
Which of the two paths to peace we take is of no functional importance in assisted mental metabolism or therapy; psychology does not reach out to the soul, it is about helping a mind in anguish.
When you carry a burden, meaning is helpful, whether you make it up or find it.
I usually tell myself: “I found it”

“O Fortune, like the moon
you are changeable,
ever waxing
and waning;
hateful life
first oppresses
and then soothes
as fancy takes it”

I’m done for…
“Cuddy,
you see the world as it is
And you see the world as it could be.
What you don’t see
Is what everybody else sees,
The giant gaping chasm in between…
Your not happy unless things are just right -
Which means two things:
- Your a good boss
- and you will never be happy.
